Program Overview

By declaring a minor in theater production, you will come to learn and appreciate all that goes into bringing a show to life, including courses in stagecraft and design, costume design, lighting design, stage management, and performing arts management. You’ll also have the chance to work with prestigious organizations outside Brooklyn College, including the Manhattan Theatre Club, the New York Shakespeare Festival, Playwrights Horizons, and SoHo Rep.

Department Requirements

  • Theater 1201, 1202, 1203, 1204
  • All of the following courses each completed with a grade of C or higher: Theater 2310, 3330 and two other technical courses approved by the department
  • Any substitution of courses must be approved by the chair or designee/undergraduate deputy chair.
