By declaring a minor in theater production, you will come to learn and appreciate all that goes into bringing a show to life, including courses in stagecraft and design, costume design, lighting design, stage management, and performing arts management. You’ll also have the chance to work with prestigious organizations outside Brooklyn College, including the Manhattan Theatre Club, the New York Shakespeare Festival, Playwrights Horizons, and SoHo Rep.
Declaring a minor allows you to explore other areas of interest and make interdisciplinary connections. A minor in theater production allows you to set yourself apart as a candidate for job opportunities in a variety of professions in the media, arts and culture, and education industries, or any number of related professions.
