As a minor in professional communication, you will become a thoughtful and effective communicator who is mindful of how people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds behave, speak, and communicate. Professional communication also teaches important life skills, such as conflict resolution, building and maintaining relationships, presentation skills, rhetorical analysis, and working in diverse, global environments.
Developing good communication skills is essential for jobs in nearly every industry. A minor in professional communication will provide you with useful knowledge applicable to human resources management, advertising, marketing, public relations/political campaign management, events management, speech writing, media production, journalism, and more.

One course from the following: Communication Arts, Sciences, and Disorders 1707, 4646, 4666 (this course is the same as Health and Nutrition Sciences 2183).
