By declaring a minor in biochemistry, you get to think creatively about problems in fields as diverse as medicine and renewable energy. With this interdisciplinary minor, you’ll obtain a solid foundation in introductory, organic, and analytical chemistry, with a particular emphasis on chemical processes and substances as they occur in living organisms.
Declaring a minor allows you to explore other areas of interest and make interdisciplinary connections. The biochemistry minor in particular pairs well with majors in biology, geology, physics, and the life sciences, and for students planning careers in the fields of biotechnology, health, and research.
